Manish Arora on Indian Culture Inspiring His Style

Since the blog is named after Manish Arora, you can guess that I have an inherent love for the designer and his style.

In an interview with the BBC, the designer speaks about his inspiration and his style. His love for Indian embroidery and surface embellishment is obvious from his collections and their extensive use in a range of pop colours is appreciated by all the fans of his work.

He speaks about his thrill of being invited first by the British Fashion Council to the UK to display his collections and subsequently to Paris, etc. This proved to be the international launch pad for the designer. Manish Arora's styles are generally more accepted internationally than in his native India because of the very contemporary nature of his collections and the use of very very modern cuts.

Obviously, keep checking back on my blog for more regular posts about the master, Manish Arora and his fantastic creations!
